Zexion glared at Vexen, his eyes full off tears. “You never spend time with me! All you are about are your…your stupid experiments!”
The cloaked schemer regretted his words as soon as they left his mouth, seeing the pain radiating from his lovers eyes. Vexen looked away, trying to hold back emotion. Zexion continued to watch him, wondering how badly his words had actually hurt.
“You think so…?” Vexen asked with a surprisingly light voice. Zexion gingerly nodded, still feeling incredibly guilty. Vexen sighed and looked off into space, “then there’s only one thing I can do.”
The blonde scientist swirled around to face the entirety of his lab. Beakers and test tubes containing a multitude of colorful liquids speed before him, and he picked one up, eyeing it.
Zexion watched him in confusion, and felt his stomach drop as the beaker was smashed to the ground, it’s contents splashing everywhere.
“What the—” zexion cried, cupping a hand over his mouth. Vexen moved on, taking up each and everyone of the chemicals and smashing them to pieces. The floor glistened in a huge rainbow as the colors mixed together and flooded the room. And in the middle stood Vexen, his entire life’s work gone in a few minutes.
Zexion’s eyes were wide in unspoken horror as he watched Vexen fall to his knees, shaking. What…what had he done!!?
It was one thing to spend a little more time with him…but to absolutely demolish every ounce of work that he had ever done? To waste all of that time and energy? What was he THINKING?!
Suddenly a strange laughter came from the blonde man as he straightened up and turned around. His eyes were dimmed with tears, but his expression was of absolute ecstasy.
“I’m free…” he moaned in bliss, running over to pull Zexion into the biggest hug of all time. But the cloaked schemer felt sick to his stomach.
“Vexen…what have you done?”
